Having supported Matthew in running Southdown Surveyors since 2008, Lisa moved across to lead Southdown Estates in 2024.
‘Personal service’ is high on Lisa’s priorities and she believes in building client relationships based on good communication and mutual professional respect, always keen to ensure that as a team, the best possible attention is given to all clients.
Lisa overriding aim to support her team ultimately ensuring a happy-ship is always sailing! She oversees the day-to-day practice management and financial administration as well as essentially stepping in to whatever role may be required of her, at any given time! Lisa believes in leading by example and so works hard to promote a good client experience.
Outside of work, she is a committed mum to her twin girls and little dog ‘Betty’ – who is also a valuable member of the team!
Jake first embarked on his Property Management career in 2016, initially as an Apprentice, and has since then gained an extensive knowledge of the leasehold sector over the years since.
Jake joined Southdown Estates in May 2023 to further his experience in the industry and to pursue his professional accreditations within the leasehold sector. He has since achieved not only his ‘member’ status with The Property Institute (TPI) but also AssocRICS status with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Jake’s extensive experience, coupled with his calm persona, allows him to provide robust professional advice in a pragmatic and positive way.
During his spare time Jake enjoys staying active and spends time, camping, going to the gym, and exploring new places and countries.
Having joined the practice in 2024 Rayana quickly established strong relationships with her Clients – largely due to her pro-active approach and drive to “get things done”.
Her commitment to a career in Block Management saw her obtain both her ATPI and MTPI accreditations in quick succession; this clearly demonstrating her knowledge, expertise, and ability in the industry - one that she sees a long-term future in.
Rayana’s distinctive character and individuality makes her a strong asset to the team. She has an admirable resilience to dealing with difficult situations and a dedication to problem solving, always acting in her Client’s interest.
Outside of the office, Rayana is a committed ‘cat-mum’ and enjoys baking, music concerts and socialising.
In his career to-date Adam has had the benefit of experiencing a variety of roles across various industries. The majority have been in the financial sector however; him having enjoyed both customer facing and back-office support roles. His interest in finance led him to obtain both his Level 2 and Level 3 AAT Accounts Technician qualifications.
Since then he has held accounting roles within Eastbourne and Brighton based property management practices.
Adam works closely with the Property Managers to manage our client accounts; their day-to-day operation and service charge management.
Away from work Adam enjoys time with his children encouraging them with their hobbies, some of which he shares, and has been involved in himself from a young age. These include wargaming, science fiction and fantasy, in many mediums, and a steadily growing interest in military history.
As the founder of Southdown Surveyors back in 2006, Matthew is committed to providing honest, straight-talking professional advice and his dedication to producing high-quality technical work has earnt the practice a good, solid reputation over the last (nearly) twenty years! He benefits from much repeat business and word-of-mouth recommendation.
Albeit a Director of the practice, Matthew’s day-to-day responsibilities sit solely in Southdown Surveyors as a practicing Building Surveyor although of course he is always on-hand to provide his services where required; whether in specifying and overseeing major works projects, providing planned preventative management advice or simply considering specific defects being suffered.
Outside of the practice, Matthew enjoys spending time with his twin girls and keeping active whether cycling, at ju-jitsu or training for his ‘second’ triathlon.
